Circuits of Value Delisting Update

ORIGINALLY POSTED MAY 22nd, 2019

As most of you know, Bittrex has announced they are moving forward with delisting Coval, along with a number of other tokens on May 31, 2019. My understanding is that the decision stems from 3 issues:

  1. Coval being a Counterparty token
  2. Coval documentation not being updated
  3. Low trading volume

We have direct communication with Bittrex, and have been informed that we may apply for re-listing within their exchange after a minimum of 90 days.

What I am doing

Although I remain in close contact with Bittrex, this does confirm a concern about the future viability of Counterparty (XCP) as the protocol for Coval. I have been pursuing moving Coval to an ERC20 token. This move to Ethereum will enable exchanges to easily list Coval, which has proven a difficult task while it has been a Counterparty asset. I am currently in talks with a few exchanges to have Coval listed and am confident in the direction we are headed. This community is full of people who want to get involved and help move the project forward. Here is a way you can contribute: if you have contacts within exchanges that are open to listing this ERC20 token, please reach out to them and us to begin conversations. Specific details about the move to ERC20 will be provided in a future update.

What You Should Do

If you are holding Coval on Bittrex, it is highly recommended you pull all of your Coval tokens from Bittrex and transfer them to a Counterparty compatible wallet. The delisting date is May 31, 2019 — we recommend doing this prior to that date! If you are unsure how to do this, Jbs made this GREAT video to help create a wallet and move your Coval off of Bittrex.

Beyond the delisting date, you will have 14 days to withdraw your Coval from Bittrex. Any withdrawals beyond that date will require working with their support team.

What’s Next

As I mentioned, I have already started working with exchanges for the ERC20 based Coval — and please reach out to me at [email protected] with any exchange contacts you may have!!

Coval is and will always be a critical part of Emblem. That has always been the plan and is something I personally am committed to and the team is 100% committed to.

Thanks for all of your support and I look forward to a great future for Coval and Emblem!
